Prepare your café counter and decor request
List the coffee or kitchen equipment you will provide, the counter and work area you want to discuss, and the decor details to include in the quote.
Separate the decor work from the equipment
The decor service can include an agreed counter or coffee bar, walls, ceilings and lighting. Shelves and fixed seating are included when requested and listed in the quote.
Coffee and kitchen equipment are not included. Tables, loose chairs and other furniture are not automatic inclusions. Decor work also does not complete every requirement for opening a business.
The image below is an office coffee-break concept from post 97. It is included only as a counter-form reference, not as an executed café or proof that equipment is supplied.
List the equipment you will provide
Write down the coffee or kitchen equipment you have chosen or already own, with its available dimensions and intended position. We measure the shop and review where your equipment will go as part of the decor discussion.
The service does not supply coffee or kitchen equipment. A concept image does not establish equipment type, dimensions, suitability or inclusion.
- Equipment you plan to provide.
- Available dimensions and proposed positions, if known.
- Any equipment you still need to choose.
Describe the counter and work area you want
Say whether you want to discuss a counter or coffee bar, and describe the shape and work area you have in mind. The agreed counter is written into the decor quote.
This image shows an office coffee-break concept with a high counter, tall seats, shelving, cups and a coffee machine. The office desks are visible beyond the coffee-break area. Use it to discuss counter form only; it is not a completed café project or a promise to supply the machine or other equipment.

List shelves, fixed seating and furniture
If you want shelves or fixed seating, describe them and ask for them to be listed in the quote. Other requested decor items should also be written into the agreed scope.
Tables, loose chairs and other furniture do not come automatically with the decor work. Say which pieces you want to discuss and check whether each is included or separate.
- Shelves and their intended use.
- Fixed seating, if requested.
- Tables, loose chairs or other furniture you want priced separately or included by agreement.
Name the decor work you want to discuss
Note whether you want to discuss the project colours, walls, ceilings, lighting or other decor. These items are handled as agreed and stated in the quote.
This guide covers decor and the counter request. It does not establish kitchen fit-out, equipment installation, food-safety arrangements, permits, approvals or opening readiness. Ask the relevant providers about requirements outside the decor scope.
Check the written quote and prepare your first message
Ask the quote to list the agreed counter, decor work, shelves or fixed seating, what you will supply, and any other pieces or work included. Check what is excluded or priced separately before agreeing.
Tell us the type of project and the counter or decor you want to discuss. Photos or a plan can help explain the request, but they are optional for first contact.
- Project type and what you want to change.
- Equipment you will provide and available dimensions.
- Counter, decor and requested fixed items.
- Inclusions, exclusions and separately priced items in the quote.
Questions before discussing a café counter
Do you supply coffee machines or kitchen equipment?
No. Coffee and kitchen equipment are not included. You choose and provide the equipment; available dimensions and positions can be reviewed as part of the decor discussion.
Does the decor service make the shop ready to open?
No. The service covers agreed decor work and does not complete every requirement for opening a project. Requirements outside the decor scope should be confirmed separately.
Are tables and chairs included in the price?
Not automatically. Shelves and fixed seating can be included when requested; list them and any other furniture in the quote so the scope is clear.
Do I need to send photos or a floor plan before I contact you?
No. Photos or a plan can help explain the request, but they are optional for initial contact. You can describe the project and counter first.
